The night

One table. 22 chairs. Four courses.

The Ember Table began three winters ago as twelve friends around a borrowed table, and it has stayed deliberately small: one night at a time, one long table, everything cooked within arm's reach of the people eating it.

Come at 7:00 PM for a welcome pour by the fire. We sit at 7:30 PM, and from there the kitchen sets the pace — courses arrive when they are ready, announced out loud, never printed. Strangers on your left, and by the custard, not so much.

Bring an appetite and, if you like, a story for the table. Everything else — the wine, the candles, the address two days before — is taken care of.

When
Saturday, November 14, 2026. Doors 7:00 PM, seated 7:30 PM. Plan on three unhurried hours.
Where
A private dining room, West Village. The exact address is emailed to confirmed guests two days before the dinner. Until then, all we will say is: a private dining room in the West Village, a short walk from the 1 train.
The seat

$145 per seat, all in

  • Four courses from one kitchen, cooked that day
  • A welcome pour, and a paired glass with each course
  • Coffee, a parting sweet, and the recipe card to take home

Payment is arranged by email once your seats are confirmed — there is no ticketing platform and nothing to sign up for.

Where exactly is the dinner?

A private dining room in the West Village, a short walk from the 1 train. The exact address goes out by email to confirmed guests two days before the dinner.

I have an allergy — can the kitchen cook for me?

Almost always. Note it in your RSVP and the menu is adjusted quietly at your place — no fuss at the table. For severe or airborne allergies, email first so we can talk it through honestly.

Can I come alone?

Please do. Half the table usually arrives solo — you will be seated mid-table, where the conversation is, never on the awkward end.

How do I pay? Do I need an account?

No accounts and no ticketing fees. You RSVP by email, the host confirms your seats and sends simple payment instructions in her reply. Seats are released if unpaid after 48 hours.

What if I need to cancel?

Tell us as soon as you can. Your seat goes to the waitlist, and if it is re-filled — it usually is — you are refunded in full. You may also pass your seat to a friend by email.
